Purchased this theme less than a year ago and spent 6 months developing and refining our store, only for the developers to create a new "update" that doesn't support any prior versions. * If it doesnt allow you to complete a straight download intergration without a redesign of your site store, ITS NOT AN UPDATE! Its a new theme.
Hi Ruby Vixen. While we greatly appreciate the feedback, we have to evolve our products from time to time. As we stated in the changelog this not an autoupdate but rather an entire rebuild to make CANOPY faster, better, and packed with an incredible amount of new features - including bulk order for B2B style product pages. It is a one-off major rescale that is packed with enhancements.
The new redesigned update took away the lightbox feature and I am really not happy about that. Because of the products I sell the lightbox feature was really important for my product pages. Update: Clean Canvas reached out and offered to code it for my site but they assured me that the Lightbox feature has already been in the works for a future update. That is fantastic news. Thank you Mitch!!!
Absolutely distraught by this latest update. My preset and customizations will be completely erased. I see that they expect us to spend the time to redesign because it will be "worthwhile" for the new features. I spent over $300 on this not even a year ago, and updating will undo hours of hard work. I can't stay on the previous version indefinitely. Completely unreasonable.
As outlined in the changleog, this was a "once-off" major product rework not for auto-updating. It introduces a host of new features, functionalities, and an entirely new future-proofed code framework.
