The Dawn theme is faster then my previous Shopify Minimal theme, however, the Dawn theme doesn't have lots of built in customizations so its a good theme if you know your way around coding. Will continue to compare with some paid themes to see if its the right theme long term. BuyExcelTemplates.com

Part of what makes Dawn so fast is the removal of resource-heavy sections that aren't known to increase conversions like the slideshow, but new features such as Metafields and Collection Filtering offset this well. Dawn 2.4.0 introduces the ability to add links to the multicolumn section, and the ability to add an
image to the email signup banner on the password page.
Dawn 2.3.0 provides more customization power over the typography size of headings and body
text across the theme. It also introduces a new setting on the image banner section to control its height
on the page.
Dawn 2.2.0 introduces facet filtering to the search template and new customization options on
the blog template.
