You must have a Compare at Price added to your product for the discount to display, click the link to learn more (http://bit.ly/3tyswNo). For automatic discounts, they are meant to be applied at the cart and checkout - you can add messaging that a discount will be applied by using the Announcement bar or a Rich Text section.
