I've been using Eight Themes going on seven years now. I've watched them develop and evolve, and with every version they release my store gets a little bit better. Anytime I've had an issue, they were quick to respond and even quicker to assist. I use Eight on every one of my personal stores, and every store I build for a client, and can safely say it will be that way for the unforeseeable future.

The Eight Team has been quickly responsive to helping us troubleshooting an error. Although the error came from a third-party app that was not correctly uninstalled, the team was very kind to help us through it to remove it! We have come to them several times for troubleshooting and they've always helped to the best of their ability!

We went with ENVY to launch our new collections and website... and we love it! We found the Collage Builder to be a game changer for us, we love the layout very easy to use! The service team are really great and straight onto anything you need!

The latest build 33 is very broken. Don't update from 32 until there's a fix.

Sorry to hear you had issues updating. Version 33 is what we call a 'major release', and contains entire re-writes of sections that have been updated for performance and usability. The version is working, but automatic updates are not available. If we can help in any way, please let us know :)

The Envy theme was great for us to start, although less than 60 days after customizing our entire site, they launched an update to the theme, which in order for us to take advantage of the update, we would have to entirely START OVER with the design for our site. This is quite frustrating, having chosen this theme initially so that we can get all the Shopify updates which we now CAN NOT!

I can appreciate your frustration for Manual updates as they do take a significant amount of time to work through. However, in some instances, whether jumps in tech, platform changes at Shopify, etc, a manual update will be required. We will continue to do everything to minimise these from our end.

Have had a great experience with this theme! Very user friendly, and when I ran into an issue, support was quick to jump in and fix it. Grateful for the consistent updates they put out.
