Shopify recommends updating due to performance issues. I want to use my included update. My site has simple, standard content only. Updates carry theme settings, page layouts, sections, new templates, words, images, and settings into updates. Manual tweaks to code (mostly CSS on mine) are re-added manually. Update V.39 requires a complete rebuild (£££). Eight lies and avoids accountability

Whilst we regularly make improvements to our theme's speed score, site performance depends heavily on what content you're adding to your store. The release mentioned has a large amount of improvements that required a manual update to ensure we are using the latest technologies and Shopify releases. However, you can continue to use the version you're on if you do not wish to perform the update.

I'm having trouble getting the page to respond. I've tried a few browsers, but I can't get the page to load and I'm constantly waiting on "Page Unresponsive".

If you can get in touch with our support team they will be able to help you implement the fix right away so that you can get back to editing. We're sorry about the disruption we've caused you and we will ensure this gets resolved quickly.
