The theme provides excellent variety with multiple sections designed for both desktop and mobile layouts. Version 8.1.0 April 4, 2025

Luxe is continuously being improved and refined based on user feedback and industry best practices. Luxe Version 8.1.0 includes several new features within the header and the product template, to enhance the front-end user experience and to offer merchants even more creative flexibility. This update also includes an important bug fix relating to the Quick Add component.

Added

  • We have added a number of new settings to the Header to add additional layout and interaction options. The new features include: A choice of sticky or scrolling header bar, a choice of hover or click for opening of the desktop dropdown, an additional dropdown style (in the form of a drawer), a choice of dropdown category font size choice, a choice of horizontal spacing for primary desktop menu links, and a choice of size for collection images within the menu. Overall, these new settings will give even more design flexibility within the Header.
  • On the product template, we have added additional options. The Pop-up block can now be set to open in the style of a drawer as opposed to a modal, if wanted. The Pop-up link can now include a choice of icons with pre-built icons included (arrow, info or measurement). The product description can now be set to open within a drawer, if preferred. Sticky Buy Buttons now have a setting for both horizontal and vertical padding, to allow the button to be fine-tuned further.
  • We have extended the layout options for the Featured Collection section and Collection Cards section; you can now specify 5 or 6 columns on desktop.

Fixes and other improvements

  • We have fixed an issue affecting the Quick Add component which was preventing the Add to Cart button from working after changing a variant such as size.
  • We have updated color swatches to ensure filters now work with colors specified via Shopify category metafields.
  • We have fixed a minor issue with font styles that was affecting fallback fonts on Safari when system fonts were specified in the theme typography settings.
  • We have improved the vertical alignment of scroll arrows on the Collection Sub Menu. We have also updated this section so that images display with the global media corner radius setting.
  • We have improved the layout of thumbnails within the product media gallery when viewed on very slim desktop screens.
  • We have fixed a minor visual issue in the Header, that the market selector button was not correctly correlating to the header color. This is now fixed and the color works correctly.
  • In the Footer we have added some spacing above the Follow on Shop button.
  • We have set a maximum width on section header paragraphs to prevent overly long lines of text.

Luxe is continuously being improved and refined based on user feedback and industry best practices. Luxe Version 8.0.0 includes several new features to enhance the front-end user experience and to offer merchants even more creative options and flexibility with the design and set-up of their store.

Added

  • New section: Feature Icons. This new section is designed to showcase product features or brand USPs using icons and labels. The section includes a wide range of options for layout, icon sizing and icon arrangement. This section is available as a standalone section and also as an optional block on the product template.
  • We've added additional settings to the Logo Wall. Logo size and spacing can now be set specifically for mobile, tablet and desktop. We have also added additional layout options.
  • We have added additional typography options to the Header.
  • We have added support for reviews within product cards and on the product template. This new feature will work in conjunction with most popular product review apps. We've also added a new setting in the global theme settings to specify the star color on ratings.
  • We have added the option to display a language selector in the Header bar and/or drawer. This is in addition to the existing market selector.
  • On the Rich Text section we have added an opacity setting for the caption block.
  • We've added a maximum text width setting to the Slideshow, to give improved control over the width and flow of text.
  • We've added a swatch size setting for product swatches. Swatches can now be enlarged, if wanted. We have also added a setting for the swatch label position to give more flexibility.
  • We've added layout options to the product page quantity selector. The label can now be positioned inline with the selector for a more streamlined look, if wanted.
  • We've added a global setting for pagination thickness. Pagination thickness can now be set to 1px or 2px.
  • We've added a new option on the Image with Text and Video with Text sections, for text vertical alignment. This can now be set to top, middle or bottom for more flexibility/control over the design.

Changed

  • We have changed the way color swatches are set-up in the theme editor. You can now add a list of labels into the theme settings to enable swatches on specific variant options. For example if you want to display swatches for 'Material', you can add this word into the theme settings. Common words that might be added here are 'Color', 'Material' or 'Finish', but any word can now be used. This change will make setting up color swatches easier, especially for stores built in a non-English default language. If you are already using color swatches, please check the settings within your variant picker block, to ensure your label is listed - this will ensure swatches continue to display on your new copy of Luxe.

Fixes and other improvements

  • We have fixed an issue with video not autoplaying on the Collection Lookbook, when multiple instances of this section are used. Videos now autoplay as expected.
  • We have fixed an issue with the thumbnail position on the product gallery not working as expected.
  • We have adjusted and optimized the position of the menu button in the header, depending on the position and set-up of other elements. This update is designed to optimize horizontal space within the header, especially on mobile devices.
  • We have made several other minor improvements and refinements.
  • We fixed an issue with the pagination color on the Multicolumn section not displaying in the color of the section. This is now fixed and works as expected.
  • We have improved the visual styling of buttons on the Gift Card template.

Luxe is continuously being improved and refined based on user feedback and industry best practices. Luxe Version 7.0.0 includes several new features to enhance the front-end user experience and to offer merchants even more creative options and flexibility.

Added

  • We've added the option of product card image swiping - a modern UX trend seen on leading e-commerce stores. Now, in addition to the option of displaying the 2nd image on hover, you can choose to allow swiping through multiple product images (up to a maximum of 4 images). This feature works on the Main Collection Product Grid section, Featured Collection section, Complementary Products and Related Products sections. It can be activated within the settings of each section.
  • We've added a choice of arrow position for carousels; you can choose middle, top right, bottom right or bottom center of the carousel. This update provides more flexibility over the visual appearance and user experience of carousels. We've also added a 'Minimal' arrow style setting which displays the arrow with no background or border for a more minimal look and feel.
  • We've added an image size setting to the Multicolumn section. This is useful if you want to use smaller images such as icons within the Multicolumn section. We've also added a 16:9 image aspect ratio choice on the Multicolumn section.
  • We've modified the Password template to allow additional sections to be added to the template, if wanted. This gives more flexibility over content and functionality of the password page, such as adding video, images or additional text.
  • We’ve updated the Cross Links color swatches to support swatch images. This means that swatches can now be displayed using a small swatch image instead of a solid color. Refer to our documentation for more guidance on this feature, as it requires knowledge of Shopify metaobjects and also requires a specific set-up.
  • On Collection Grid images, we have added a setting to allow you to specify the number of rows each image spans; this can now be set to 1 or 2, giving more flexibility over the scale and positioning of the image.
  • On the Blog template, we've added the option of a 5 column or 6 column layout. We've also increased the pagination and layout options for tablet and desktop, to give more control over the page layout across different screen sizes.
  • We've added additional image aspect ratio settings to blog cards. Portrait 4:6 and Landscape 16:9 are now available in the options.
  • We've added a 'track' display option to the mobile pagination of the product page gallery. The track option displays media pagination as a minimal scrollbar rather than as separate markers.
  • On the product template we've added a block for vendor (brand), including an optional link to a brand collection.
  • We've added a global setting on product cards to set the text style of vendor (brand). You can now choose from faded, italic or none. Adding a visual style to the brand name can help to differentiate it from the product title and other text elements within the card, or simply inject some typographic style into your design.
  • We've added aditional style settings to the header country selector; you can now choose to display a flag with or without text and you can specify whether to show the currency symbol. We have also added a subtle border to the flag image to improve the appearance of flags with a white background.
  • We've added a setting to hide flags in the language selector, if preferred. Based on user feedback, we acknowledge that flags are not always deemed to be appropriate, or in some cases a language does not correspond directly to a country/flag. This setting can be found in the Footer.

Changed

  • We have removed the image aspect ratio setting from the Featured Blog Posts section. This section now uses the ratio setting from the theme blog card settings. This change improves consistency of how blog posts are displayed across a store.

Fixes and other improvements

  • We've fixed a bug in the Announcement Bar that was affecting the link (URL) of each announcement when multiple announcements were added.
  • We've fixed a minor visual issue found relating to the color of search bar text and icons within the search dropdown.
  • We've fixed an issue found with pagination of customer orders on the account pages, in cases where there were a large number of orders.
  • We've added additional size options to the Collection Banner title (Extra Small and Micro).
  • We've set a maximum width on the collection page description. This improves readability and visual design, as it prevents the lines of text from becoming too long.
  • We've updated the search dropdown to display badges within product cards, to improve consistency with other pages/sections.
