Best theme ever, period! Luxe has all the best practices built-in to scale your store even without any developer touch. All features are there for your to drag and drop and save. It is definitely worth the price considering the time you will save on it later with all the built-in solutions. They are also extremely responsive on improving the theme per your feedback as you go. Love it!

Luxe Version 5.0.0 provides some exciting new features along with some fixes and improvements. We've added even more video sections and more design flexibility for merchants. We recommend that all users update to this latest version to continue getting the best out of Luxe.

Added

  • Move your brand: We have added a range of image animation options to the Image Banner and Slideshow sections, allowing you to bring still images to life with movement effects. Images can be set to pan horizontally, pan vertically, zoom in or zoom out. Each effect is subtle and smooth to give a premium feel.
  • We have improved the Slideshow section by adding several new features including a new option of video slides. We have also added a 'Media scale’ setting which gives more control over image scaling and cropping by allowing media to be contained within the space rather than always filling the full width of the screen. This is especially useful for displaying portrait or square images, or if you simply wish to eliminate image cropping across different screen sizes. To retain a 'full bleed' visual style, keep the media scale set to the default setting of 'Cover'. We have also increased the number of image slides that can be added to a Slideshow from 6 to 8.
  • We have added additional settings to the Header to offer even more control over layout and styling of the header and dropdown menus. The new settings include dropdown horizontal position options, vertical spacing for dropdown menu lists, a choice of rollover style for dropdown menu links, and a choice of size for dropdown image headings. We have also added a setting for the foreground color on the transparent header; this can now be set to white or unchanged to give more flexibility (such as using a transparent header in combination with light background banner images). In this update we have also fine-tuned the columns sizing for dropdown menus to improve the layout across various mega menu configurations.
  • The Collection Sub Navigation has been enhanced - you can now include collection images with each menu item. If enabled, you can also choose the aspect ratio of the images including a circular option.
  • The Collection List section has been updated to include a new style setting; you can now choose from 'text' (default) or 'pill' for the list link style.
  • We have added a setting for drawer header border. You will find this within the main theme settings.

Removed

  • We have removed the horizontal spacing option within the Collection Cards section. Instead, the horizontal spacing now follows the global theme settings, ensuring the column spacing matches other sections for more uniform layouts. This update makes the set-up of this section faster and easier.

Fixes and other improvements

  • We've fixed an issue that prevented multiple videos auto-playing when multiple Featured Product sections were added to the same page.
  • We've improved and optimized the layout of the Collection Lookbook, Image with Text and Video with Text sections when viewed on iPad and iPad Pro devices. This update improves the scale of images and videos on these sections when viewed on these popular devices.
  • We've fixed some layout issues on the Quick Add overlay to improve the scaling on desktop screens.
  • We've made a number of other minor visual refinements and optimizations to the theme.

Luxe Version 4.1.0 includes support for a wider range of languages, along with some minor improvements and feature updates.

Added

  • We've added over 20 additional languages including Ukrainian, Turkish, Greek, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Indonesian, Russian and Vietnamese. Luxe now works in over 30 languages in total; for the full list of languages please visit our documentation website.
  • We've added a setting for image scaling on the product page media gallery, which can be useful in the case of product media with extreme aspect ratios such as ultra widescreen or extreme portrait. A common use case for this feature is merchants in the art industry who may be selling products with widely varying aspect ratios.
  • We've added size, position and placement options for the product page media gallery thumbnails to give merchants more design flexibility. Thumbnails can now be positioned either left or right, and can be set to overlay the media or sit adjacent to it.

Fixes and other improvements

  • We’ve updated the theme to support Shopify's new and improved accelerated checkout buttons. These changes will ensure that checkout buttons support features like Functions and Bundles, and will improve the visual appearance of these buttons in relation to matching the theme style settings.
  • We've increased the text width range options on the product template to give merchants more design flexibility.
  • We've fixed a minor visual bug on the Featured Collection section relating to the arrow style not working; the style setting now works correctly and as expected.
  • We've fine-tuned a number of other minor aspects of the theme to further optimize performance, usability and visual design.

Luxe Version 4.0.0 includes a number of refinements to improve the theme visual design, usability and functionality. We've also added some powerful new sections and section blocks. This version update continues to give merchants as much design flexibility as possible for their store.

Added

  • New section: Image with hotspots. This new theme section features an image with the ability to add hotspots highlighting products or product features within the image. Hotspots can either show a product or information. A number of design settings are included to give merchants flexibility, such as choosing the image aspect ratio and hotspot style. This new section will be of particular interest for merchants in fashion or interior design industries, as it is perfect for showcasing products within a lifestyle setting such as a room or a lifestyle photoshoot.
  • We've added a choice of font for the header. Merchants can now set this to their body font if preferred.
  • We've added a choice of menu icon for the header. There is a choice of two lines, three lines or three dots.
  • We've added the option of adding a secondary desktop menu in the header. If specified, this displays on the top right alongside elements such as the search and login icons/links. This feature is useful for adding secondary menu links such as a link to a contact page, whilst keeping this separate from the main menu.
  • We've added a setting to add vertical borders to dropdown columns. This gives merchants the option of a visual line to separate lists, if preferred.
  • We've added a choice of icon for the header bar country selector; merchants can now choose between none, arrow or flag.
  • New product block: Breadcrumb. We've added an optional breadcrumb block to the product template. This utilises custom metadata to give merchants complete control of the breadcrumb trail.
  • New product block: Information tabs. We've added this new block to offer a different way to display product information. This block allows you to include a product description along with other information in user-friendly tabs as an alternative to the typical accordion approach. Up to four tabs can be included to display different information, and each tab can be dynamically linked to product metafields to display relevant content such as a size guide or product care information.
  • New section: Product collection links. This new section can be inserted into a product template to display links to all related collections. For example, if the product is within 'Women' collection and 'T-Shirts' collection, this section will guide customers to explore those collections. This can be an effective way to increase cross-browsing on your store.
  • We've improved the 'Quick add' feature on product cards. Products with multiple variants will now open as an overlay, allowing the customer to view and choose the relevant option such as size. We've also added style options for 'Quick add' buttons. Merchants can choose from 4 button style options, and choose separate styles for mobile and desktop. Furthmore, we've also added a setting for desktop hover option so this can be disabled if a merchant prefers the buttons to be visible at all times.
  • We've added an optional setting for adding a background blur effect on drawers. This adds a modern visual effect that can be applied to the main menu drawer, cart drawer and collection filter drawer.
  • We've added the option of sticky buy buttons on the product template. When turned on, the buy buttons will be fixed to the bottom of the screen on mobile devices for maximized visibility.
  • We've added more choices for the price font size on the product template.

Changed

  • We've re-engineered the 'Product cross links' block to improve the color swatch option and make it easier to use. The color swatch now supports multiple colors (for example if a product is black and gold). In this instance, the color swatch will show two colors in a split swatch design. This feature still requires use of custom metaobjects and metafields.
  • We've modified the settings for font sizes so merchants can now set font sizes more accurately for mobile, tablet and desktop. The result is even sharper typography with more visual design flexibility than before.

Fixes and other improvements

  • We've fixed an issue which prevented multiple videos auto-playing in the product media gallery. All videos now autoplay as expected. Merchants still have the option of disabling autoplay in favour of user-initiated playback, if preferred.
  • We've made a number of other subtle visual refinements to the theme.
