Added

• We have added a new global animation setting allowing to remove the "reveal menu item one by one" effect. Merchants who wish to have reduced animation can now do it.
• The dedicated "Video" section now supports an extra "Mobile video". This is only supported for videos uploaded on Shopify (YouTube videos do not support that).
• Custom badges will now have a custom CSS class added, so that advanced users can optionally style them independently. For instance, if a custom badge "New" is added, the class "badge--new" will now be added.

• Minor performance improvement for parallax effect (on collection and blog post pages) on modern browsers.

Fixed

• Fixed a potential accessibility issue on the "Image with text" section. The "h2" and "h3" tags have been
  replaced by a "p" tag (to match the behavior on other sections), which allows to ensure we do not create an
  incorrect sequential order.
• Fixed a potential accessibility issue on the "Testimonials" section that can happen when specifying a
  testimonial author name.

• The collection list page now supports showing two collections per row.
• In the header, account link will now show "Login" if customer is not logged and "Account" if customer is logged. Merchants now can personnalize the wording depending on the customer being logged or not.

Fixed

• Fixed an issue where the "send on" date would appear too small on iOS Safari.
• Fixed an issue where, on mobile, the multi-columns section would show each column too narrow when the section is configured to stack and the alignment is set to center.
• Fixed an edge case where menu would not display properly if the announcement bar is positioned after the header, and that both announcement bars and headers are configured to be sticky.

Fixed

• On version 8.0.0, we made a change to fix a bug with YouTube videos, that could cause the videos to not load on initial page. This issue is not related to the theme, but a long standing YouTube issue (more info can be read here: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/249707272?pli=1).

By removing a specific attribute when embedding YouTube video, we could workaround this issue. Unfortunately, applying this workaround also appeared to have another side-effect: videos could not loop anymore, because YouTube requires this specific attribute to allow looping.

There is, as a consequence, no 100% safe implementation when using YouTube videos that can guarantee a flawless result. We have brought back the previous implementation to ensure looping works, but this means that, under some circumstances, video might not play on page load.

All those issues are unrelated to the theme, but are bugs of YouTube platform itself.

As a long term solution, we highly encourage merchants to NOT use YouTube when embed videos on their store, and use either Vimeo (if you need to host the video outside Shopify) or, even better, host your videos directly on Shopify. Hosting videos on Shopify has many important benefits over using YouTube:

• Performance is improved, because it does not have to load heavy YouTube scripts.
• You no longer have YouTube branding.
• Shopify videos are using the native browser platform, which means such bugs like looping or loading cannot happen.
