I activated Apple Pay and expected to see the button to pay on iPhone or Safari, but it doesn't appear anywhere.

This type of issue is most often not caused by the theme itself, but other settings in the Shopify Admin or even browser settings. Hey there, Spotlight was created to be simple storefront with limited features. You can still add as many features, pages and sections that you can on other themes - but the layout doesn't have this included when it's downloaded. You just need to add the features using the theme editor.

the shopify themes are total garbage as is shopify itself. The themes are bloated beyond reason . I get some appaling result on Page Speed Insights : Largest Contentful Paint element = 19,060 ms . And i don't have any third party apps that they usually blame .

Hello, while third party apps can cause the theme to be slower in general, there are many other aspects that can affect pagespeed as well. Please view our help document here (https://bit.ly/433RZO6) all about what can affect your store speed and what you can or cannot control. Even using a large amount of sections and large images across your theme can negatively affect the speed of the website.
